This coin is from when 2nd Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment was part of a multinational force and observer task force in the middle east in 1997. This particular coin recognizes a Soldier while having served in that task force. Challenge coins like this come from all over the US Army and show how units recognized their Soldiers.
