Description
Defect condition: Strobes have cracked IR filters. This does not affect the general functionality however you may see a “white light bleed” when using the strobe with the IR filter.
This is a MS2000 strobe that is used in the US Military. The strobe has a white light function, and when the IR shield is set in place the strobe is visible under IR only. The IR shield is moved easily, but stays locked in place for IR securely. To activate the strobe there is a sliding switch that has a very positive lock, letting you know if the strobe is on or off just by feel. There is also a safety lock, to help prevent accidental activation of the light. For use, the strobes are used to mark friendly locations and can either be carried and attached to gear. The strobes are commonly attached to helmets, both for ease of use and to mark individual locations. While an older design, these strobes are rugged, lightweight and still great for anyone who needs a strobe.
