Celox Rapid Hemostatic Gauze

Description

Celox Gauze works independently of the body’s clotting mechanism. Celox Gauze is being used in more of the Army Issue IFAKs. Users apply the gauze directly on to the bleeding source and hold pressure for three minutes to stop bleeding from arterial injuries, gunshot wounds, road traffic accidents and other moderate to severe bleeding injuries. Celox blood clotting products have very high surface area chitosan flakes. When they come in contact with blood, Celox swells, gels, and sticks together to make a gel like plug. Celox blood clotting agent does not set off the normal clotting cascade, it only clots the blood it comes directly into contact with. Celox Gauze hemostat has been CoTCCC approved for DoD use.
