These are Eagle Industries Combat Integrated Releasable Armor Systems, or CIRAS for short. The CIRAS was designed to allow soldiers to be able to quickly doff their body armor in an emergency situation. It does this through a pull cord that’s centrally located on the front plate bag. When pulled, the plate bags and cummerbund are detached from each other allowing one to be easily extracted from their armor. The CIRAS is constructed from 1000D Cordura making these carriers extremely durable. Much like the MAR-CIRAS, the CIRAS features a mesh material on the inner side of the plate bags allowing for water to easily egress from the carrier during maritime or costal operations. The CIRAS also features a generous amount of MOLLE on both plate bags, adjustable shoulder straps, adjustable stretch cummerbund, are SPEAR/ BALCS soft armor compatible, hard armor compatible and are releasable. Overall, these are solid early GWOT body armor carriers that are sure to still have plenty of service left in them.

SIZING:
Small: Torso Height 13.5″ / Chest up to 37″
Medium: Torso Height 14.5″ / Chest 37″ – 41″
Large: Torso Height 15.5″ / Chest 41″ – 45″
Torso Height it based off Navel to Collar, that is the area that ballistic plates should sit for proper fit and wear.
Features:
- Can Hold Ballistic Plates – Ballistic plates can be held within included plate pockets.
- MOLLE Webbing – MOLLE webbing on exterior for attaching additional pouches and accessories.
- Releasable Body Armor – Body armor has a release handle and cord for emergency doffing of armor. This is for situations when the body armor has to be taken off in a hurry, such as due to injury or when submerged in water. THIS IS NOT FOR REGULAR DONNING AND DOFFING. Body armor comes apart and must be completely put back together when release cable or handle is pulled.
