These are Garmin Foretex 601 wrist mounted GPS’s. The Garmin Foretex is a feature rich navigational tool used by the military and outdoorsman alike. General features of the Garmin Foretrex 601 include an acrylic lens, 26mm watch band compatible, IPX67 rating, MIL-STD-810 rating for thermal, shock and water resistance, 2” 4 color gray display with NVG mode, all powered by 2 AAA batteries. Map and memory features include 500 waypoints/favorites/locations, 100 tracks, 10,000 navigation track logs and 50 navigation routes. Sensors on the Foretrex 601 include 3 GPS sensors (GPS, GLONASS and Galileo), a barometric altimeter and a tilt compensated/ 3-axis compass. Additional outdoor recreation features include point to point navigation, Tracback, fish forecast and sun/moon information. The Garmin Foretrex 601 kit includes a Foretrex 601, Hook & loop wrist strap, strap extender, USB cable (for software updates) and instructions/documentation. Overall the Garmin Foretrex 601 is a great tool in any avid outdoorsman’s kit especially for those who enjoy life away from cellular service.
