These are PVS-31 Battery Packs by L3 Harris. These battery packs are designed to extend the run time of a PVS-31 night vision device and act as a viable counterweight to offset the weight of the night vision device. The battery pack houses 4 AA batteries which extend run time from about 15+ hours to 50 + hours. The PVS-31 Battery Pack features a hook & loop section for attaching to helmets, a Fisher port for attaching to compatible NVG’s and and 2 high power IR LED’s for IFF. The IR LED’s are activated by an easy to use switch located on the bottom of the battery packs housing. A simple thumb screw is located on the battery packs top for access to the battery compartment. These L3 Harris PVS-31 Battery Packs feature a Fisher Port for connection to the NVG device. Theses battery packs are only compatible with Fisher type cables however adapter cables do exist to adapt the 4 pin Fisher connectors to a 2 or 4 pin LEMO style connector to adapt these battery packs to other NVG devices that support battery pack usage.
