USGI Patagonia PCU Level 6 Wet Weather Pants

Description

These are wet weather trousers from Patagonia. The Gore-Tex pants are waterproof and meant to be worn over other light layers. The pant leg cuffs have a 1/4 length zipper along the leg for taking on and off while wearing boots. The trousers are lightweight and made out of ripstop durable wear. The trousers do not have pockets!

These PCUs are a Patagonia design and made by Patagonia or a Patagonia subcontractor.

Features:

• Gore-Tex – Made with Gore-Tex material, a lightweight wind and waterproof material that remains breathable.
• Waterproof – Waterproof means that it will not absorb water or be damaged when submerged in water.
• 1/4 Length Pant Leg Zipper – Pants legs have a 1/4 length zipper from the bottom. This aides when donning and doffing the pants while wearing shoes.
• Lightweight Construction – Built with lightweight materials for extended use.
• ECWCS Level 6 – This layer consists of a water and wind proof jacket and trousers that act as a hard shell layer over thermals or the standard uniform. Level 6 layers are intended for wear in cold to wet conditions. The jacket and trousers are lightweight and low bulk and when worn over thermal layers are still breathable to help prevent overheating.
• SOF-PCU – Part of the 7 levels of the Protective Combat Uniform used by Special Operations Forces across the US Military. Levels are similar to the standard ECWCS system. Some levels are broken down into multiple parts, such as lvl 1A & 1B. Overall the system is a more specialized cold and wet weather clothing system that more closely follows current civilian market options that are tailored towards tactical use.
