THE LIGHT EMITTED FROM THESE STROBES IS NOT VISIBLE TO THE NAKED EYE. ONLY VISIBLE WHEN VIEWED UNDER NIGHT/IR VISION.
You can use the Phoenix Junior infrared beacon for the covert marking and positive identification of items of interest. This includes vehicles, personnel, mines, obstructions, landing zones, routes, passages, and air drop items. You cannot see the light from this beacon with your naked eye. You can view the beacon marker with any night vision device, such as the AN/PVS-7 or AN/PVS-14.
The beacon will immediately start flashing when you attach a standard 9-volt dry cell battery. Also, you can stop the flashing by removing the battery.
Strobe light CAN NOT be seen without the use of NVGS!

I bought 4 of these little strobes for use on night hikes, so far in my limited use they work as designed. Super simple design just plug a 9v battery in, attach it somewhere on the person or ruck and head on down the trail. May buy a few more after some additional testing but I can see
a variety of uses for these, like marking your camp, tagging a piece of equipment for later retrieval, or even as a distraction device against other NVG users for night games.
