Description
This is a set of Extreme Cold Weather Mittens that were used in the US Military. The mittens are for wear in extreme cold weather situations when you don’t need the full dexterity of a more typical full fingered glove. The outer shell has a faux fur wool upper for warmth and to quickly shed snow, while the palm is leather for durability and protection from the elements. Inside the mittens are removable liners that are made of material similar to a poncho liner. These add a layer of insulation for when not wearing winter gloves with the mittens, though wearing cold weather gloves with the mittens will give you maximum warmth and protection. Glove gauntlet is extended so that it covers coat and parka cuffs and can be cinched down with straps. The mittens, when new, come with a string attaching the together so they can be draped over the neck when not in use. Overall these are big, warm and ready for the coldest temps.

- Water Resistant – It can be exposed to water for a short period of time without being damaged or saturated with water. Generally not recommended to submerge Water Resistant items unless item is made for that level of exposure.
- Wind Resistant – This is wind resistant which means that it helps break the wind and keep the wearer warmer.
- Adjustable Wrist Strap – This has an adjustable wrist strap to allow it to be adjusted to the wearer. This allows for a more comfortable and secure fit.
- Extended Glove Gauntlet – Glove has an extended gauntlet. There is extra material that extends past the wearers wrist up the arm. This is to add extra protection.
- Leather Palm – This has a leather palm for extra durability and protection.
- Glove Wool Upper – Upper of glove is made of wool.
- Removable Glove Liner – Gloves include a removable glove liner for extra insulation.
