Description
This is a South Korean K-M4 Bayonet. The K-M4 bayonet was a copy of the M4 bayonet used by the US Military. The K-M4 (as well as all M4 bayonets) were designed for use with the M1 and M2 Carbines.
The bayonet you see is the one you’ll receive. This K-M4 bayonet is correctly marked for South Korea however its exact place of manufacture is unclear. While South Korea domestically produced these bayonets, records show that the US provided roughly 90,500 M4 bayonets to South Korea between 1951 and 1972 so its possible that this was produced in the US as an aid item. The bayonet is in good condition overall. The blade is free of rust/ pitting or gouges. The guard is clean and the stamping on it is very visible. While the condition of the handle and pommel are also good, there is some sort of glue on the right side of the handle/pommel. This bayonet does include a M8A1 scabbard, however it is not a K-M8A1 marked scabbard.
