This listing is for a set of soft armor panels, Front & Back. All soft armor is at a minimum 10 years old.

Please note these SPEAR/ BALCS Soft Armor Panels Sets are a mix of ones manufactured by Point Blank or Armor Express. Sets will be matching pairs but at this time we cannot accommodate requests for a specific manufacturer.

The soft armor panels are surplus and NOT covered by any manufacturer warranty.

These are SPEAR/ BALCS Soft Armor Sets. This armor is designed to work in SPEAR or BALCS cut body armor carriers to provide the user with additional protection from battlefield hazards. Panels come as a set of 2 (front/back) and have a protection level of IIIA. The level IIIA rating allows these soft armor panels to protect the user from fragmentation or 9mm and lesser threats. While the SPEAR/ BALCS soft armor cut many have gotten its start in the earlier 2000’s it’s still in widespread use today with various military units and law enforcement agencies countrywide. It provides increased threat resistance in a more ergonomic package as opposed to most body armor systems which tend to be fairly bulky due to how large the panels tend to be. Sizing: SPEAR/ BALCS soft armor panels are intended to be paired with a matching size carrier. An example would be a medium carrier requires medium soft armor panels. Running the incorrect size armor can lead to poor fitment and reduced threat resistance capabilities.

Compatible Body Armor Systems: Please note there are numerous SPEAR/BALCS soft armor compatible carriers. If your carrier is SPEAR/ BALCS compatible then this armor will likely fit. This armor WILL NOT fit in USGI issued IOTV’s. Please ensure your carrier is SPEAR/ BALCS compatible before ordering.
