These are Tru-Spec Hot Weather Hats, more commonly known as the Boonie. The boonie has been a staple of hot weather wear since its inception in 1967 and is in our opinion the best hat in the military. These boonie hats were made by Tru-Spec for the Guatemalan National Civil Police but never made their way to South America. While their coloration is similar to the US Navy’s NWU 1 they are not true NWU 1. The Tru-Spec Boonie hats feature a 50/50 nyco blend, 2.5 inch brim, ventilation holes, internal map pocket and an adjustable chin cord. Hats are one size fits all and have a cord lock style adjustment at he back of the hat for ideal fitment.
