These are 4 piece versions of the Improved Modular Sleep Systems (IMSS) in use with the US Army. The IMSS is an improved version of the Modular Sleep System (MSS) that was previously adopted by the Army. The IMSS is usually a 5 component system that consists of 2 stuff sacks (1 large/ 1 small), a bivy sack, a Patrol weight bag and an Intermediate weight bag however these ones DO NOT include the small stuff sack. So what's “Improved” about these sleep systems? Well the biggest of the differences are in the sleeping bags themselves. Both the Patrol and Intermediate weight bags are reduced in overall bulk making them much easier to pack and carry while still retaining their temperature ratings. Additionally, unlike the original MSS, the newer IMSS includes 2 stuff sacks allowing users to split up the system as need be. Instead of just a singular bag for the whole system. -Patrol Sleeping bag (rated for 30 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit)
-Intermediate Sleeping bag (rated for -10 to 30 degrees Fahrenheit)

Features
- Stuff Sack – Stuff sacks are used to take large bulky items, such as sleeping bags or clothes, and compress them down in to more easily stored or transported size. Typically include several cinch straps for compressing gear down in the sack.
