Description
These are US Army 52nd Engineer Battalion Unit Crest Pins. These crests are authorized for wear on a Soldier’s dress uniform indicating their affiliation with that unit. The 52nd Engineer Battalion was first constituted into the national army in August of 1917 as the 39th Engineers. Over the life of the unit they would be reorganized and redesigned several times. In November of 1967 they would be re-designated for the final time as the 52nd Engineer Battalion. The 52nd participated in WWII, Operation Desert Shield, Operation Desert Storm and the Iraq war. The 52nd Engineer Battalion was inactivated in October of 2024 at Fort Carson in Colorado.
