Description
These are 77th Field Artillery Regiment Unit Crest Pin. These crest pins are authorized for wear on a Soldier’s dress uniform indicating their affiliation with that unit. The 77th was constituted into the regular Army in July 1916 as the 19th Cavalry but was re-designated to the 77th Field Artillery in November of 1917. The 77th Field Artillery Regiment has been deployed numerous times in its history and has participated in WWI, WWII, Vietnam and the Global War on Terror. Currently only 2 battalions of the 77th are active: 1-77FA (attached to the 41st Artillery Brigade in Germany) and 2-77FA (attached to the 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson).
