Description

These are US Army HBT 2nd Pattern “Special” Uniform Shirts. The “Specials” were variations of 2nd Pattern HBT uniform shirts that had additional features over the standard variation that were authorized for wear. What makes most “specials” special is the inclusion of a gas flap on the shirts inside. The purpose of this flap was to assist in sealing up the uniform in the chance the user found themselves in a gas attack. The 2nd Pattern HBT Shirt is constructed from the famed Herringbone Twill material which was well known for its excellent durability. In addition to its construction the 2nd Pattern HBT Special Shirts feature a button shirt closure with steel buttons, gas flap, buttoned chest pockets, adjustable sleeve cuffs and 2 collar buttons. Overall, these a great piece of US Military history that’s sure to add value to any US Army WWII or Korean War collection.

Please note most of these tops are 75 plus years old and will show their age. Tops may/ will have more staining, holes or fading due to this.
