US Army LWOL Cold Weather FR Jacket, Multicam

Description

This is a Lightweight Outer Layer (LWOL) fire resistant jacket that was issued within the US Military. These jackets are worn as a protective outer layer in cold weather environments. The USGI LWOL Jacket features a full length zipper closure, chest pockets, shoulder pockets, waist pockets, adjustable wrist cuffs, loop fields on shoulders and name/rank/service loop fields. The fabric is also 4 way stretch for increased mobility when worn over other layers of clothing. Meets ASTM D 6413/F2302-03 for flame resistance. These jackets are great for wear as a protective outer layer in cold weather.

Material: 46% Nomex 41%, Cotton 10%, Nylon, 3% Other

Features:

• Flame Resistant – Will not catch fire when exposed to flames. It will burn but it will not drip or catch fire.
• Water Resistant – It can be exposed to water for a short period of time without being damaged or saturated with water. Generally not recommended to submerge Water Resistant items unless item is made for that level of exposure.
• Wind Resistant – This is wind resistant which means that it helps break the wind and keep the wearer warmer.
• Full Length Zipper – Has a zipper going the full length or near full length of the item.
• Zippered Pockets – Pockets have a zipper closure to secure contents.
• Shoulder Pockets – Includes pockets on the shoulder for small items.
• Chest Pockets – Has pockets on the front of the chest.
• Jacket Drawstring – This jacket has a drawstring at the waist that can be tightened or loosened. This helps the wear regulate the warmth and comfort of the jacket.
• Adjustable Sleeve Cuffs – Sleeves have either a button or hook and loop adjustable cuff for fit and wear.
• LWOL – Light Weight Outer Layer, a component of the FREE system. LWOL clothing consists of fire resistant soft shell layers that are very wind and water resistant to wind and water proof. Similar to the Level 4 & 5 layers within ECWCS.
