US Army M1936 Utility Belt

These are a mix of all M1936 utility belts used by the US Army. Color and hardware material types will vary. You may receive an early war model with brass hardware or a post war with zinc hardware. We CAN NOT accommodate requests for specific year, color or hardware type.

These are US Army M1936 utility Belts. These utility belts saw usage within the US Army throughout the Second World War and even into Korea. The M1936 utility belt replaced the previously issued M1912 utility belt that saw usage throughout WWI, the M1936 utility belt is largely considered an “updated” version of the M1912 with the primary differences being color and the type of metal used for the hardware. While the M1936 utility belts started out with brass hardware, this was changed mid WWII to zinc to save brass for the construction of shells for ammunition. The belts are constructed from cotton canvas and features a “small T” buckle, button snap for the issued utility magazine pouch and grommets for the hanger style attachment point. Belts are adjustable for size and feature metal keepers so the belt slack doesn’t swing around.
