US Army Presidential Unit Citation Ribbon

Description

This is an Army Presidential Unit Citation (PUC). The Presidential Unit Citation is awarded to units who demonstrate exceptional heroism in action against an armed enemy. Requirements include the unit must “display such gallantry, determination and esprit de corps in accomplishing it mission under extremely difficult and hazardous conditions as to set it apart from and above other units in the same campaign. The Presidential Unit Citation was previously known as the Distinguished Unit Citation, this was changed November 3rd, 1966. Additional awards for this citation to the unit are displayed by the wearing of an Oak Leaf Cluster on the service ribbon.

Each ribbon includes a single ribbon bar.
