Description

This is a Modular Assault Pack from Eagle Industries. These MAPs are small assault packs that are MOLLE compatible, so you can throw them right on the back of your plate carrier and body armor. You can even rig them up to directly attach to your chest rig harness, if you’re a little nifty. They also fit right at home on the back of the Eagle Industries RRV, if you’ve got the right adapter buckles. These packs DO NOT include shoulder straps, they weren’t made to be worn with them, but they can have straps rigged up to them to make them into nice small assault packs. The packs have a main zippered compartment, that inside features a sleeve that can fit 100oz hydration bladders and some radios. On the front there is a ID patch panel and a smaller zippered compartment. There are two buckled cinch straps that can be used to lash extra gear to the pack, or to just cinch down bulky loads. There is a hook and loop closes flap on the back that can accept bladders and other slimmer items as needed to. These are great little packs that can go right on the back of your kit, and can even be attacked to large rucks to really amp up the cargo space.

Measures about 17 x 8 x 4
These are a little bit on the long side, and are from older kit designs. If you are wearing a modern minimalist PC, these will not fit flush on the back!

Features:

Purchased in “defective” condition but it looks brand new! Has a spot for hydration bladder and slit to run the drinking hose through. Great addition to the back of my plate carrier. Couldn’t be happier!

  2. amrobbins (verified owner)

I ordered a “defective” grade pack. It had a medium sized patch of white, baking-soda-like goop dried onto it that came off easily with some soapy water and a toothbrush. The small pieces of elastic that cover the exit holes for the hydration pack straw were a little worn, but the overall pack was in great condition. Once I cleaned it up a little bit, it would easily meet a strict definition for “Excellent” condition.

I’m sure some of the “defective” items won’t be quite as perfect as this pack was for me, but it makes me confident that the surplus grading will be fair and accurate across site.

  3. Shane (verified owner)

Bought a “defective” pack, it has some slight spray paint marking on the velcro and the elastic cable/tube hole covers have clearly been used heavily. It also smelled like surplus and had some white crud on it, but those came out in the wash. It still holds stuff like it should and for the price I would recommend it.

  4. Stephen Perron (verified owner)

I bought mine in used condition and mine had some stenciling on the front and minor wear and tear. Overall it was good condition. It’s a nice upgrade to your gear so that way you can hold some stuff in the back without needing an additional backpack.

  5. Thomas Bruce (verified owner)

I purchased in “defective” condition. There are some minor stains on the outer pocket and a noticeable blue stain on the top of the pack. For something you plan to use and get dirty, the bag is in excellent shape. Very sturdy, maybe a little heavy. If weight is a concern I’d go with the newer lighter bag (5KH). Also, I purchased qty 2 double magazine pouches to use on the molle (taps) sections on either side of the backpack; these are a really good size and take up the entire molle section. I’m glad I didn’t try to put a big admin, general purpose, or IFAK type pouch there. I can’t figure out the webbing on the bottom, it seems to be two separate molle attachment points; they’re not a standard distance apart. Probably useful for a bed roll, cot, shooting mat, something you roll up to put down there. 2 things to note, there are no attachment points inside for a water bladder so figure that out and there’s a couple elastic bands to hold something like a radio on either side of the large pocket inside.

Asked by Gregory S on December 31, 2020 11:11 pm
    A

You should be able to fit this bag on an H-harness as long as the harness still has its back panel.

A The back panel is too short, that is the entire problem. Unless you are referring to center panel of the belt, which I have already removed because of my 34 inch waist. And even if the center panel of the belt was still in use, it would be too low to hook anything to because I am almost 78 inches tall.
  4. How big a hydration bladder will this take comfortably? Also how big is the needed pals field for this to attach? Sorry it's hard to count the rows from the pic.
