Description

This is a Fire Resistant Air Crew Coat that was used in the US Army. The zip up coat has adjustable sleeve cuffs as well as an adjustable waist for best fit. There are zippered chest pockets and the left sleeve has a shoulder pocket. The main pocket for the shoulder pocket is zippered and it has a flapped small pocket as well. Overall the shirt is a cool alternative to the standard BDU top and is flame resistant.

Features:

  • Full Length Zipper – Has a zipper going the full length or near full length of the item.
  • Zippered Pockets – Pockets have a zipper closure to secure contents.
  • Shoulder Pockets – Includes pockets on the shoulder for small items.
  • Adjustable Sleeve Cuffs – Sleeves have either a button or hook and loop adjustable cuff for fit and wear.
  • Jacket Drawstring – This jacket has a drawstring at the waist that can be tightened or loosened. This helps the wear regulate the warmth and comfort of the jacket.
  • Woodland Camo Pattern – Created and issued from 1981 onwards. Based on the ERDL camo patterns used throughout the Vietnam War and afterwards, specifically the 2nd pattern ERDL, RDF ERDL. The biggest change over earlier ERDL patterns was the enlargement of the patterns and shapes found in ERDL. The colors were also the same with light green, dark green and brown being used. Black would be used in twig shapes across the base colors. Woodland Camo is commonly referred to just as BDU or M81. M81 is an unofficial name for Woodland Camo that comes from its adoption date, 1981. It was used across the US Military till individual service branches replaced it with modern camo patterns.
  • Flame Resistant – Will not catch fire when exposed to flames. It will burn but it will not drip or catch fire.
