Please note these MCU-2/P Protective Mask Hoods are 20 or more years old. Most were packed with a preservative powder to keep the hood from sticking during long storage. It is recommended to wash these hood well before use.
These are Biological Chemical Hoods for the MCU-2/P Protective Mask that were worn by the US Airforce and Navy. These hoods are designed to provide additional protection to the head and shoulders of the protective mask user. This hood creates a better seal around the user’s head when operating in environments that may have hazardous biological or chemical contamination. The hood slips over and attaches to the mask for ease of donning or doffing and includes a hood cinch and straps that run under a user’s arms to keep the hood tight to the body.
