USGI C2A1 40mm NBC Filter

*C2A1 Filters have a 10 year shelf life when stored properly and have even been known to last beyond that. Filters beyond 10 years old are safe to use for training or props but may not be as effective against the specified threats its rated for.*

These are USGI C2A1 NBC/ CBRN filters. These filters were the standard issued 40mm filter for the US Militaries M40 gas mask until their replacement by the M50 mask and M61 filter. These filters are designed to protect the user against various chemical and biological agents that may be used in a conflict, terror attack or may be found in contaminated environments. The C2A1 filter features a 40mm thread making these filters compatible with most NATO and commercially available gas masks.
