These are USGI 4 Man Extreme Cold Weather Tents (ECWT) from Eureka. These tents were issued to troops operating in extreme cold weather climates and are designed to allow 4 individuals to sleep in conditions ranging from 125 to -25 degrees Fahrenheit making this a true 4 season tent. The tent features an extremely rigid 9 pole design that gives this tent a steady wind rating of 50mph, a gust rating of 65mph and a snow load capability of 4 lbs per square foot and can repel wind driven rain at 2 inches per hour with 20 mph winds. The tents tub and vestibule are primarily constructed from a flame resistant 70 Denier nylon ripstop with 98P polyurethane coating. The tent has 2 entrances with large drop-down door constructed from 40 Denier with “no-see-um” mesh window. Tents also include 2 rainflys, one woodland and one arctic white/blackout reversible that are constructed from the same FR material as the main body. A unique feature of these tents is their ability to work with military tent heaters. One wall of the tent features a round opening with cinch closure. The ductwork from the heater is run from the heater into the tent via this opening.
