USGI Field Training Butt Pack

These are USGI Field Training Butt Packs. The Field Training Butt Pack was the successor to the M1967 butt pack used by the US Military throughout the Vietnam war an into the 1980s. The butt pack allows the individual soldier to carry additional bulky items on their issued web gear without the need to carry a ruck sack. The butt packs feature a buckle closure, compression straps, ALICE webbing and a built in water resistant liner with drawstring. Field Training Butt Packs attach to an ALICE web belt with 2 ALICE clips and have 2 additional eyelets or D-rings to allow for mounting of the ALICE suspenders directly to the butt pack as opposed to the belt itself. Overall, these butt packs are a great way to plus up on space on vintage and modern web belt kits alike.

• Pouch Drawstring Closure – The pouch has a drawstring closure at the top to help secure various sized items inside the pouch.
• ALICE Compatible – This item uses the ALICE, All-Purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment, system. This system was used by the US Military starting in 1973 and was replaced with MOLLE gear. The system uses simple metal clips (slide, belt keepers) to mount pouches and accessories to webbing on gear and equipment.
• ALICE Webbing – Has ALICE compatible webbing on the exterior for attaching ALICE and other compatible accessories.
