Description
We’ve never seen these before! This is most likely all that we’ll ever get of these so get one of them while they last!
For Sizing: Go with the size that is comparable to your standard shirt size and/or body armor, the vest is very adjustable though. A size Small FLC can be fully widened out to fit most people that wear a Medium Regular Top, but a Medium FLC would fit best.
These are USGI Fighting Load Carriers (FLCs) in Ranger green. We aren’t completely sure the origins of these vests, but we speculate they were a unit order for Air Force Defenders based on the information available. They are pretty much the same as normal FLCs, but with a loop field for attaching name tapes. These FLCs do not have a buckled waist belt like the standard issue ones. With ample MOLLE on the front, and a sturdy waist belt and load bearing straps, this is a great option for a chest rig you can adapt to your needs and carry everything you need. There is ample room for a full combat load of magazines, canteen pouches, admin pouches, general purpose pouches, and just about anything else you can think of. Behind the MOLLE on the front, there’s even a large pocket on each side for maps or other flat items. Mesh panels on the front keep these rigs lightweight and breathable, while still allowing the end user to carry plenty of gear and offering plenty of stability for heavier loads. These vests are sized, unlike the standard issue FLCs, to allow for proper fitment for the user, standalone or over body armor. The split front design with both a heavy duty zipper and a buckle in front keep the rig secure, even if one component fails. Overall, these are great vests in a great color, with tons of MOLLE real estate to accommodate anything you need to carry while remaining fairly lightweight.

Drew –
Came in the mail relatively quickly. At initial glance every seemed fine but upon closer inspection, after trying to get the sizing fit right, some of the stitching is starting to come undone. But the biggest kicker is that the H harness connector/cross section is on crooked, which makes adjusting it to your size a little difficult and wonky. It’s not a bad product, but maybe check your stocks to see if they are all like this.

So far, solid piece of kit.
I have not yet had the opportunity to ruck this thing, and thus won’t comment on its disability besides noting that it seems built about as well as your regular flc. One interesting note is that mine at least does not have a waistbelt passthrough, and the waist belt doesn’t actually have buckles at all. One won’t be able to set this flc up as a rear opening vest, and it’s tricky to wear open considering there’s only the sternum strap to actually secure the vest with the zipper undone. I’ll propbably add a split buckle at the navel so that it can be worn split open better.
other then that, it’s a flc, just in a quite attractive shade of ranger green that will induce you to spend lots of money on old paraclete pouches. Swanky piece of kit.
