Description

These are knit glove liners for the Cold Weather Flyer’s Gloves that are used by the US Military. They are part of the Flame Resistant Environmental Ensemble (FREE) cold weather clothing system. These are not only warm but also flame resistant. They go inside the glove and add some extra insulation for temperatures below what the cold weather flyer’s glove can handle on its own. These gloves have an extended gauntlet to protect the wrists, and although they are intended for use with the cold weather flyer’s glove, they can go in virtually any glove or mitten to add some warmth. Overall these are a great accessory for the colder months when normal gloves just don’t cut it.

Features:

  • Flame Resistant – Will not catch fire when exposed to flames. It will burn but it will not drip or catch fire.
  • Glove Liner – Meant for use as a liner for other gloves to improve cold weather performance. Not meant for extended use as a stand alone glove.
  • FREE Clothing System – The Fire Resistant Environmental Ensemble. FREE is a system of fire resistant clothing and accessories for wear by combat vehicle crewman and aircrew members that generally follows the format of ECWCS as far as layering goes. All layers are fire resistant and focused towards the needs of the Soldiers wearing them. Generally FREE Clothing is a upgraded version of the standard issue equivalent, along with being fire resistant.
