These are USGI Fulton MX-991/U “L-Lights”. These lights were adopted by the US Military in the early 60’s and were issued all the way up until the early 2000’s before being replaced by smaller and more powerful LED powered lights. The flashlights are constructed from polymer for the main body and feature a 3 position switch with safety wings to prevent accidental activation. Additionally, lights feature interchangeable bulbs, interchangeable filters, storage compartment for said filter, a lanyard loops and are powered by 2 D cell batteries.
