The PCU system is similar to the ECWCS system but varies in several ways with the Level 2 Grid Fleece 1/4 Zip Shirt being one of the areas where they cross over. These shirts are constructed from grid fleece material that is both moisture wicking and breathable and feature a 1/4 zip shirt collar, mesh pits and an extended shirt tail. • Grid Fleece Material – Has a grid pattern on the inside of the article that seals in the warmth while still allowing air flow through the spaces between the grid. The air flow helps keep remove excess moisture in turn keeping the wear warm and dry.
