USGI Level 7 PCU Parka, Type II

Description

This is a level 7 PCU parka that is used in the US Military. You can wear this parka as an extra layer in the cold, and still wear your gear. The parka fits over a small backpack and body armor. The parka has a longer back tail to fit over gear properly. There is a stowaway hood in the collar and full length storm flap over the zipper. The parka has two insulated zippered pockets. Also, this insulated parka stays warm even when wet.

• Stow Away Hood – There is a stow away hood in the jackets collar for inclement weather.
• Zipper Closure – Has a zipper to secure contents stored inside.
• Zipper Storm Flap – This jacket has a storm flap for covering the zipper in inclement weather. Storm flaps help insure water and wind are not able to pass through the zipper.
• Jacket Drawstring – This jacket has a drawstring at the waist that can be tightened or loosened. This helps the wear regulate the warmth and comfort of the jacket.
• Adjustable Sleeve Cuffs – Sleeves have either a button or hook and loop adjustable cuff for fit and wear.
• Includes Hook & Loop Fields – For attaching name tapes, ranks and other ID patches.
• ECWCS Level 7 – This level consists of a high loft insulated parka and trousers set that are for wear in extreme cold conditions while static. The parka and trousers are wind and water resistant and meant to be worn as the outer most layer in dry (non wet weather conditions, snow on the ground is ok) environments where movement is limited.
• Oversized Clothing – This clothing item is oversized to fit over gear worn on the torso or other gear and clothing worn beneath. FOR Tops and Bottoms it is recommended that you order a size smaller than you are unless you intend to wear body armor or bulky gear underneath.
• SOF-PCU – Part of the 7 levels of the Protective Combat Uniform used by Special Operations Forces across the US Military. Levels are similar to the standard ECWCS system. Some levels are broken down into multiple parts, such as lvl 1A & 1B. Overall the system is a more specialized cold and wet weather clothing system that more closely follows current civilian market options that are tailored towards tactical use.
