Description

This is a magazine pouch for the M3/M3A1 submachine gun. The pouch can hold up to eight .45 cal grease gun 30 round mags securely with a button snap flap. The sling is adjustable and there is a large belt loop for wearing on a belt as well. The pouch is made of heavy duty canvas and is great or carrying extended mags or spotting scopes.

    A I'm pretty sure these are nylon from the product photos (note the taping around the lid) which would make them Vietnam era or Desert Storm era, being that our tank crews carried Grease Guns all the way up to the Gulf War as personal defense weapons. Another clue is your cotton canvas WW2/Korean War examples would usually have something like (paraphrasing here) "Case, Cal. 45 SMG Magazine" stamped on the front while your nylon ones have a simple "US" stamped on the front like the one shown here. Hope this helps!
