USGI MRE Meal

This is a Single USGI MRE Meal used by the US military. These MREs (Meal Ready to Eat) are issued to US service members when in areas where a field kitchen or chow hall is not available. MREs come ready to eat straight from the bag but do include a chemical ration heater to warm up any desired contents. Each meal includes a main entrée, side dish (meal variation dependent), snacks, drink powders, the famed MRE spoon, ration heater and an accessory packet. MREs are shelf stable for 3 to 5 years and even longer when stored in a cool dry place. Beyond being great for US military personnel in the field these meals are great for the avid hiker/ camper who is looking for a low mess ready to eat meal option that’s easy to carry.
