USGI Patagonia PCU Level 5 Soft Shell Cold Weather Pants

Description

This is a pair of PCU level 5 pants. It’s pretty similar to the standard ECWCS lvl 5 gear, but just a little better because the people using it were specialer. The pants are wind and water resistant and meant to be worn over one to two other thermal layers, so it’s a little oversized for layering. The waist and pants cuffs are zippered for ease of don/doffing while wearing boots and other clothes. There are waist pockets, no back pockets and zippered cargo pockets. The pants can be worn with a belt, with the belt loops, or with suspenders. Suspenders included with New condition. These are great outer layer pants for cold days outside and when worn with thermal layers keeps the wearer warm all day.

These PCUs are a Patagonia design and manufactured by Patagonia or a Patagonia subcontractor.

Features:

• Adjustable Pants Cuffs – Pants cuffs are adjustable with drawstrings, hook and loop tabs or other methods.
• Zippered Pants – Pants crotch is zippered.
• Removable Suspenders – This items includes removable and adjustable suspenders for wear.
• Pant Cargo Pockets – Has large pockets for bulky items on the pants legs.
• 1/4 Length Pant Leg Zipper – Pants legs have a 1/4 length zipper from the bottom. This aides when donning and doffing the pants while wearing shoes.
• ECWCS Level 5 – This layer consists of a soft shell jacket and trouser set that is meant to be worn in a moderate to cold conditions and over thermal layers or the standard uniform. The jacket and trousers are low bulk, wind and water resistant, and cut to allow for good mobility while remaining lightweight.
• SOF-PCU – Part of the 7 levels of the Protective Combat Uniform used by Special Operations Forces across the US Military. Levels are similar to the standard ECWCS system. Some levels are broken down into multiple parts, such as lvl 1A & 1B. Overall the system is a more specialized cold and wet weather clothing system that more closely follows current civilian market options that are tailored towards tactical use.
