These are USGI Single Point Release Harnesses. These harnesses are designed to attach an airborne trooper’s pack to his main parachutist harness while they are within the perfectly good plane they are jumping from. Once free from the aircraft and the chute is deployed a release is pulled so that bag can drop and hang from a drop line still attached to the parachutist’s main harness. The harness is an “H” design and is constructed from heavy duty nylon webbing with metal hardware. The harnesses are complete and include the main harness assembly with attached pull cable, two D-ring clips and two 2 inch buckle assemblies with release grommet.
