  1. Miguel S

I recommend you stay away from these, despite whatever low price they may have. Bought 4, but only 1 is really trustworthy in a usable sense. Yeah, they are marked ‘defective’, but as my multiple previous orders as well as other reviews have noted is that ‘defective’ at this site has typically been much higher quality than you’d expect by that description.

However, in this case, ‘defective’ is most certainly the best way to describe these pouches. Completely packed full with a tangled mess of loose threads to the extent that I cannot figure out where they could even be coming from or how so many could even exist without the entire pouch crumbling in your hand. I’ve never seen anything like it in any surplus item in 20+ years of purchasing such items originally made all around the world. Were there originally dividers that someone cut out and all the threads just went crazy? Did they come that way from the manufacturer due to laziness? Not sure, but I don’t have confidence in them either way.

I actually ordered them specifically because of that weird tannish-brown color that the images portray (as if someone tried to dye the stupid gray ABU pattern), but the intense amount of loose threads jumbled inside the pouches just indicate a complete lack of structural integrity. I will not be using them for magazine storage as they were designed, and they will most certainty end up in the garbage soon.

Not mad at Venture Surplus in any way, you get what you pay for. And you will likely pay for junk with this product. They were also discounted by 25% just a day or so after I ordered, and still not worth it even at that new price.

Even though they are AF issue and ABU camo…the 3 mag ( 2 polymer) capacity and security of a buckle system makes these a great product.
During my service as an Infantryman in various Airborne units…I trust buckles over velcro or retention tabs any day…nothing like reaching for a mag and it’s not there due to vegetation or other issues. I highly recommend…and if you think these will slow your reload times…get off the flat range.
    Train like you fight etc.
Great service and price points on proven, solid gear. May not be Instagram sexy…but majority of those glamor types are dead men walking. RLTW.
