This is a well built and comfortable day/short term backpack.
The description is correct: my pack arrived with small wear holes in the bottom of the pack from abrasion against the internal plastic stiffener. I took out the stiffener and put a larger radius on the bottom corners where the wear holes were to reduce the chance that they will continue to wear. The holes were indeed small; about the size of the drainage grommets.
The description also included “Does not include additional buckles and straps.” Well, there are already two sets of straps/buckles on each side and the bottom, as well as a grab handle on top, PALS all around, a sternum strap and a waste belt. I guess any more straps and buckles would have been superfluous.
The zippers are in good shape and appear to be the water-resistant type. Multiple internal pockets and pouches in the main and accessory compartments. There are two velcro-secured openings on the top of the pack for your water hose.
A good pack!

“defective”? looks mint to me
there was 1 very small hole caused by the sharp plastic corner of the stiffener. the hole was maybe 1/4″ and it was only inside the stifferner compartment, not the main pack. i took the stiffener out and rounded the corners. i don’t expect that hole to worsen.
this pack is a steal
