These are USMC Modular Tactical Vest (MTV) Side Plate Pockets. These side plate pockets are a component of the USMC’s MTV. The side plate pockets sit within the MTV’s cummerbund allowing for additional soft and hard armor to be added to the vest for increased threat protection. Side plate pockets are constructed from 500D Cordura and feature a hook & loop pouch closure, internal divider (separates hard and soft armor panels) as well as a loop face for attaching into the MTV. Included with each side plate pouch is the matching 7” x 8” soft armor panel.
