Please note: ECH helmets are thicker than ACH's. For best fitment on USGI ACH's please select a size down for the helmet cover. For reference the MEDIUM USMC ECH cover fits LARGE ACH's like a glove.

These are USMC issue Reversible MARPAT Helmet Covers for the ECH. The covers are constructed from 50/50 NYCO (50% Nylon 50% Cotton) material and feature a Woodland and Desert MARPAT side. The helmet covers have an opening in the front for NVG shrouds and utilize hook and loop strips for attaching to the helmet. While covers were designed for use with the ECH these covers, while a little loose, will fit ACH’s or similar helmets as well. • Compatible with the ACH Helmet – This is compatible with the Military Issue Advanced Combat Helmet (ACH).
• Compatible with the MICH Helmet – This is compatible with the Military Issue Modular Integrated Communications Helmet (MICH).
• MARPAT Camouflage – After seeing the effectiveness of the new digital Canadian camo the US Marine Corps set about to create its own. In 2001 the USMC would develop and adopt the MARPAT family of camo patterns. Marine Pattern would have a woodland, desert and winter variation, with miniature USMC EGA symbols “stamped” into the pattern. While the USMC claims the pattern is based off its own research and development the pattern, minus coloration, is extremely similar to the Canadian CADPAT camo that was the inspiration for adopting a digital camo in the first place. With the adoption of MARPAT the USMC would also introduce the MCCU Uniform, replacing the BDU completely. Aside from certain pieces of individual equipment, in service MARPAT is used mainly on combat uniforms and accessories.
