USMC Type 3 Cotton Sateen Utility Shirt, OG-107

Description

These are USMC Type 3 Cotton Sateen OG-107 Utility Shirts. These type 3’s boast a printed USMC Eagle, Globe and Anchor logo and USMC text on the left pocket. Unlike the Army and the Air Force the USMC didn’t adopt the name or service tapes that were familiar with today until the 1990’s. Until then it was common for USMC versions of clothing to have this information stenciled on the uniform directly. That being said, these stencils still live on through the embroidered EGA that is present on the current Marine Corps Combat Utility Uniform. Like all Type 3 OG-107 Utility shirts these USMC marked ones are constructed of the same cotton sateen material and feature a button shirt closure, buttoned chest pockets and a button sleeve cuffs. Type 3 OG-107 Utility Shirts do not follow the current standard for military sizing (example: medium regular or large short) where measurements are based on chest and height. Instead, the measurements for the OG-107 are based on neck circumference and arm length. The neck circumference is measured at the base of the neck and arm length is measured from the center of the end of the sleeve cuff.

OG-107 Utility Shirts are constructed from 100% cotton sateen. If cotton is washed or dried improperly it can/ will shrink so some shirts may be smaller than stated due to shrinkage.
