These are Vintage Romanian Army Canvas Rucksacks. These rucksacks were issued to the Romanian Army from the 1970 through the 1980s. The rucksacks are constructed from durable canvas material and features a large flap closure with leather straps for the main compartment, compartment opening cinch, leather shoulder straps, metal hardware, side pocket, leather lashing straps all around and leather corner reinforcements. While these rucksacks are from an age in European gear where your rucksack was commonly tied into your web gear, fortunately we have a solution to allow these to be run as standalone packs. Simply feed the D rings on the shoulder straps on the hooks on the packs bottom. Once looped on crimp the hooks down and the D ring now stays attached allowing for standalone use.
