Please note the Wilcox L2 G04 Ratchet Strap shroud is only compatible with MICH, ACH or other similar thickness helmets. These will not work on helmets that are thicker or have a brim like the ECH or PASGT helmets.

These are Wilcox L2 G04 Ratchet strap shrouds with L2 G01 mount. The ratchet strap shroud is a simple and effective means of attaching NVGs to a helmet that has not been previously drilled for standard one or three hole shroud. The L2 G04 is comprised of 4 main components. Those components are the shroud, tensioner, adjustable strap and the L2 G01 mount. The shroud and tensioner mechanism are paired together by the adjustable strap. Once the strap is adjusted for the general size of the helmet simply crank the tensioner to tighten the whole assembly snug. These ratchet strap shrouds saw tons of use in the early days of the GWOT as the military at large was trying to establish a standard for mounting night vision optics. These shroud assemblies also include Wilcox’s famed break away feature to protect the user from head and neck injuries that can stem from getting your night vision hung up on head height hazards. Overall despite their rather antiquated design, these simple but robust ratchet strap shroud assemblies are sure to still get the job done.
