The Level 1 is one of seven levels within this system, serving as a general base layer for when temperatures dip into the 40s. Due to its low insulating properties, the Level 1 is best used during activity in cold environments. Warmth is generated by the friction of the clothes moving, which helps keep you warm when paired with appropriate outerwear. The USGI Level 1 Pants are constructed from Polartec material, which is lightweight, breathable, and moisture-wicking. Additionally, these pants feature four-way stretch, elastic waistband and elastic cuffs for a comfortable fit.
