Condor Rapid Assault Chest Rig

Description

This is the Rapid Assault Rig from Condor. In general, this is a no frill TAP that can hold a combat load of mags, and more, with plenty of MOLLE webbing on the front for extra pouches. There are six open top magazine pockets, that can hold standard 5.56mm 30 round mags easily. There is adjustable shock cord for each mag pocket to secure your mags. You can fit two USGI mags per each pocket, however they fit tight and will wear out the rig faster. The webbing on the rig allows for easy addition of shock cord on top of each mag pocket for added retention. Across the front is plenty of MOLLE webbing for additional pouches or accessories. The rig has detachable padded shoulder straps that can be adjusted for best fit, and an adjustable waist belt as well. The buckles are Swivi-Lockster release, so they are able to move around some without creating pinch points. The buckles ARE NOT standard type buckles and are not compatible with other shoulder strap assemblies. On the backside of the rig is a small mesh pocket for maps and other slim items.

Overall this is a pretty good rig. I, the guy that writes descriptions, runs the IG account and writes the emails and is the face on YT, wore this rig for most a deployment to Afghanistan and a lot of training events following that one. It’s simple and easy to add to and if you hard attach the shoulder straps to your kit it becomes more like a TAP and can be taken on and off easy. If you are shoving two mags per a mag pocket, it will wear out and the dividers will rip in the long run. They fit tight, but can be removed easy enough.
