Description
Rothco’s Gen III Level 3 ECWCS Jacket, part of the Extreme Cold Weather Clothing System (ECWCS), aids in protection against harsh environments and can be worn as a standalone jacket or as a liner for a softshell jacket, parka, or other extreme weather jackets. Constructed of 100% polar fleece and nylon panels at the neck, shoulders, and elbows, the military jacket provides structure, durability, and unparalleled warmth. Designed with a gridded side and armpit panels, the outdoor jacket enhances breathability so you do not overheat. The full front zipper can extend through the collar to form a turtleneck-like design in order to keep your neck warm. For storing gear on the go, the winter jacket contains two outer side pockets and two interior mesh pockets. Attach rank and name badges to either side of the chest with the loop fields.

- ECWCS Level 3 – This layer consists of a fleece jacket that, all you Alaska guys better read this next part, that is approved for wear as an outer garment. Intended to be worn as the primary layer in moderate to cold climates. The fleece is an insulating outer layer that is breathable, quick drying and lightweight. Can be worn over Level 1 & 2 layers or as is.
- Breathable – Breathable means it allows moisture to escape to help keep the wear dry even when sweating.
- Full Length Zipper – Has a zipper going the full length or near full length of the item.
- Exterior Pockets – Has pocket(s) on the outside for smaller items.
- Internal Pockets – Has Pockets on the inside for small items.
- Includes Hook & Loop Fields – For attaching name tapes, ranks and other ID patches.
- GI Style – GI Style means these are similar to the USGI item and matches the issued item in look and function. May not be compatible with all USGI accessories for the issued items.
