Description
These are new upgrade kits for PASGT helmets. The kit includes a new chinstrap, hardware, pads and new hook field stickers for installation. The pads are the most significant upgrade in the kit, with two layers the pads offer upgraded comfort and protection.
The helmet strap is compatible with a standard ACH with the included hardware. The chinstrap will fit an ECH as well but the hardware will not.
What size pads do you need? That depends on how snugly you need your helmet to fit. If you currently have 3/4″ pads and your helmet is loose please consider size 8 (1″ pads). The only difference between the two sizes is the thickness of the pads.

Size of Upgrade System has to match size of helmet. Example being a medium kit fits medium helmets.
Which size fits the Large size shell? - A
The difference between size 6 and 8 helmet pads is 1/4″ of padding. Size 6 has 3/4″ inch pads for the sides, back and front while size 8 has 1″ inch pads. Both sizes have 3/4″ crown pad. So really it depends on how snug you want your helmet.
A I got the 1" pad kit and it feels too tight. So it's best to get the standard 3/4" kit and then buy the 1" later if needed.
