Description
This is a triple mag pouch from London Bridge Trading, the LBT-0910. This shingle differs from normal shingles and overall has some interesting features, and history. It is compatible with both AR and AK mags, with the long hook and loop flap that secures mags being able to fit over either easily. The pouch can fit 3 AK mags, 3 AR PMAGs or up to (tightly) 6 standard AR mags. There is elastic around each mag pocket that helps retain mags some as well. The pouch can be mounted to any MOLLE compatible surface.
So, the history. These are not a standard offering from LBT. While carrying an NSN, these were not USGI issue. At least in any form we can find. They were offered in two colors primarily, Black and OD Green. Both colorations were specifically made for issue to the Afghan government. With the Afghan National Police (Black) and the Afghan National Army (OD Green) being the primary recipients of these pouches. This is why they are compatible with both ARs and AKs, those fellas’ were rocking whatever they could get their hands on.
So while the pouch is a little different in overall design, it’s got some cool history and we were able to get ahold of some that never made it over there. Overall, if you need a triple shingle that needs to be lightweight, have no frills and work with multiple platforms, these are a good one to go with.

Bought on sale for $15. It does indeed accommodate both AR-15 (even with Magpul magpuls) & AK-47 mags (straps will secure at an angle w/AK mags); it will also fit 3 M14/G3/CETME-C 20-rd mags with the caveat the Velcro on the straps is too short to secure to the pouch. This could be fixed by sewing on a bit more velcro to each strap which any dry-cleaning/alteration shop should be able to do cheaply.
This is a basic but adaptable shingle worth buying on sale. I don’t think their history justifies full price tho.
