This is a heavy duty poncho from MIL-SPEC Plus. It is rubberized on the inside and is noticeably thicker than most other aftermarket ponchos. These aren’t as thick as USGI Ponchos, but are about the thickest aftermarket ponchos we’ve been able to find. So durability wise, these are fairly solid. It is oversized to fit over yourself and your pack. The grommets on the corners allow you to make a shelter easily by either combining two to make a 2-man shelter, or just using one for an individual shelter. The hood in the center has a drawstring closure and there are string already attached to the grommets with a lark’s head knot to make shelter craft even easier. The poncho includes a stuff sack for easy transport, and is very packable. Overall this is a great heavy duty rain layer that will stand the test of time, and doubles as a great shelter.

- Tie Down Points – This has points for attaching tie downs from sensitive items. Includes grommets, cord loops or clips.
- Hood With Adjustable Drawstring – This item has a hood with an adjustable drawstring.
- Stuff Sack – Stuff sacks are used to take large bulky items, such as sleeping bags or clothes, and compress them down in to more easily stored or transported size. Typically include several cinch straps for compressing gear down in the sack.

It’s a good poncho but due to the snap configuration it is incompatible with the poncho liner. There is not way to properly snap it together to make the bed roll.
