Description
The #1 Recommended Snuggle Buddy.
This is a Poncho Liner, aka the Woobie, that is used all throughout the US Military. Back in the day it was used in conjunction with the issued Poncho to make a mostly water and wind proof field sleeping system. There are ties along the sides that allow it to integrate with a Poncho, or for it to just be tied down to whatever you need. The ripstop nylon shell is water and wind resistant, and there is a polyester batting inside. This material makes the blanket very warm for how thin and light it is, and it can stand up to some decently hard use as a result. Packing these down is easy, and they are great for use as an additional layer in a sleeping bag in colder weather. Uses also include just about anywhere you want a nice warm blanket, that’s not bulky. At around 88″ x 63″ they’re plenty big to wrap up in comfortably, wherever you take it. Great for camping, around the fire, in the house and for emergency kits.
This is not the a poncho, this is literally just the blanket that can be used as a liner inside the poncho, there is no hole for your head in the liner.
Around 88″ x 63″
Defect Condition: Will have small, no more then 3, holes that need repair that do not affect use.

I’ve seeking a genuine, made in USA, military grade poncho liner for several weeks. After being frustrated with Amazon sellers “inaccurate” product descriptions and hiding the origins of their cheap, Chinese-made poncho liners I grew frustrated with buying liners and having to return them. Then I found Venture Surplus. The poncho liners from Venture Surplus were exactly what I wanted, they were exactly as described here on their website, and they arrived as estimated.

Bought a defective woodland woobie. Is faded in some spots with thread pulls here and there. For 23 dollars i’m not complaining as this is still completely serviceable.

Genuine surplus. Camo pattern is faded but that seems to happen with this material with any pattern. No holes, rips or tears. Overall a great piece of kit, especially considering I ordered defective grade.

Ordered multiple used woobies recently. I had an issue with a missing item in my order and Venture Surplus immediately sent the missing item and on top of that sent what looks like an unissued one.
Love these guys!
Buy these used and/or new… they are in great shape regardless your choice.
