Made with state of the art fire resistant, anti-static fabric the light-weight flame resistant base layer withstands the heat and flames that may threaten soldiers, combat vehicle crew, aviation mission sets, welders, construction workers etc. The base layer thermals are another fine product manufactured for the army.
The biggest issue with regular polyester base layers is that they can catch fire when exposed to an open flame and when melted will cause severe burns not just from the flame but from the melted polyester as well. Flame resistant means that these thermals are very difficult to set on fire and should they get hot enough they will not melt of drip when burned. These thermals are normally worn by welders, fuel handlers and vehicle crewmen. They are perfect for most jobs that require flame resistant clothing.
