US Army FR Ballistic Combat shirt, OCP

SOFT ARMOR IS NOT REMOVABLE ON THIS SHIRT. IT IS STITCHED DIRECTLY INTO THE INSIDE OF THE SHIRT.

This is an armor shirt used by the US Army. The combat shirt has built in soft armor inserts to upgrade the wearers overall body armor level worn. The overall concept for the shirt is to replace the need to wear additional deltoid/shoulder armor and yoke armor attachments. The shirt is similar to a standard Army combat top with a breathable shirt body and reinforced elbows with padding, and it is also Flame Resistant. The front and back of the upper torso, around the upper most part of the chest, has soft armor inserts. There are also inserts that cover the wearers shoulders and armor extends down to the upper bicep, with a hook and loop strap to adjust this area. There are zippered shoulder pockets on either side with loop for patches and IFF. The collar of the shirt is zip up and around the lower section of the neck is also armored. These shirts are great for increasing the level of protection worn when wearing modern plate carriers as it covers the areas the plate carrier does not.

• Scorpion Camouflage, OCP – When Multicam was adopted as the replacement for UCP during deployment operations it was also considered for Army wide adoption for uniforms and gear. Licensing fees for the Multicam pattern were deemed to high and the US Army took to the predecessor, Scorpion OCP. Scorpion OCP had been developed alongside Multicam and shares most of the same design. Side by side Multicam and Scorpion look much the same, with differences being subtle. The base color of Scorpion is green, compared to brown in Multicam and the shading of all colors was changed slightly. Scorpion also has no vertical elements in the camo. Scorpion is currently referred to as OCP, or Operational Camouflage Pattern and is used for US Army Uniforms and most Army gear.
• Flame Resistant – Will not catch fire when exposed to flames. It will burn but it will not drip or catch fire.
• Adjustable Sleeve Cuffs – Sleeves have either a button or hook and loop adjustable cuff for fit and wear.
• Reinforced Elbows – Elbows on sleeves are reinforced to withstand harsh use.
• Built In Soft Armor – Has soft armor components that are removable built in.
